I got tagged by Mike from Mike’s Baking, so now it’s my turn to answer these questions about me!

What or who inspired you to start your blog?

Reading other foodie blogs out there, especially Donal Skehan’s. It was cool to see another young person doing so well and I also realised it’s a great way to get your own recipes ‘published’.

Who is your foodie inspiration?

I get inspiration all over, I may be walking through a supermarket or eating in a restaurant and an idea will come to me.* I also like putting my own twist on existing recipes (e.g. my mince pie twists). (*Please note, I do not do only food-related tasks lol) (Please also note that I didn’t realise it said ‘who’…)

Your greasiest most batter splattered cook book is?

I’m quite protective over my cookbooks so they’re all in pretty mint condition hehe. That said, the book I’ve been using the most recently is The Fundamental Techniques of Classic Pastry Arts by the French Culinary Institute. It’s a really in depth book explaining almost all there is to know about baking – absolutely love it!

The best thing you have ever eaten in another country, where was it and what was it?

Potato pizza in Italy – where else?! I was really surprised to stumble upon ‘pizza con la patate’ and was actually a bit dubious at first but couldn’t resist and it was DELICIOUS!

Another Food Blogger’s table you would like to eat at?

Yasmin Limbert’s because she has really cool ideas (that seem to coincide with some of mine actually!) and her children have really fancy packed lunches – I want some too!

What one kitchen gadget would you like Santa to bring you? (money no object) 

A super strong hand held mixer that won’t be overwhelmed by too much frosting and break! ;]

Who taught you how to cook?

I taught myself to cook (well bake), many hours in the kitchen and collapsed cakes in the bin later and I’m still learning! I’ve got loads of cookbooks as well =]

I’m coming to you for dinner, what is your signature dish?

I don’t have one because I don’t really cook like proper food, I could make you three courses of cake?! Hehe

What is your guilty food pleasure?

Frubes! Why? Because they’re for kids, but really convenient if you’re running late – just grab a couple tubes and go!

Reveal something about yourself that others would be surprised to learn?

Hmm although I love almost anything sweet (unless it’s got coffee in it) I don’t like sweet savoury dishes very much (i.e. a bad chinese takeaway!).
